Camp Jackson Tour Part 5: The Lake

A walk down from the pavilion and cabins brings you to the lake. The lake should be a fun place for splashing in the water, paddling around, and fishing (catch and release with non-barbed hooks only, but the fish appear to be plentiful).

You can see the Lake House in the distance:

There are couple of paddle boats. It would be fun if we could also bring a canoe (or two), or any other fun water toys we can manage.



We went out on the paddle boat and fed the fish. It was kind of crazy to see the fish jumping to the surface for the fish food:



There is a fenced off shallow play area in the water for kids:

Also near the lake is a horseshoe pit. I'm thinking a horseshoes tournament might be in order...

  1. wow. I wish we could stay longer than a couple of days... it looks like a perfect place to be together. This was a great idea and I'm super excited! Thanks Sam and Megan for doing the bulk of this so far... next we move onto ...
    the Tshirts!!! Keep in mind my brother in law is an artist and I'm sure he'd make up a logo/ family crest for us if you come up with ieas!
